Security add-ons

The baseline is not the ceiling.

Patch management, endpoint protection, and access hygiene are the recurring baseline. Some environments need additional layers-chosen deliberately, not sold on fear.

Available layers

Four add-ons, chosen for a specific risk.

Security awareness training

Scheduling and tracking a recurring training program-paired with simulated phishing-so habits improve deliberately instead of by accident.

Conditional access and MFA enforcement

Rolling out multi-factor authentication and conditional access rules as a project, including the exception process for the accounts that need one.

Email security filtering

An additional filtering layer beyond what the mailbox platform provides by default, tuned to how the business actually receives mail.

Credential-exposure monitoring

Coordinating a monitoring service that flags when a company email address appears in a known breach, with a named person who acts on the alert.

Where the line sits

Baseline maintenance and a chosen add-on are not the same commitment.

Already in the baseline

Patch management, maintained endpoint protection, access-rights review, and a lost-or-stolen-device response are part of the endpoint security baseline-not an extra purchase.

Available as an add-on

The four layers above are scoped and priced separately, once the environment, applicable accounts, and risk tolerance are understood. Conditional access and MFA enforcement connect to the wider picture in identity and access management.

Honest limit: no combination of add-ons is described as making an environment “unhackable.” Each layer reduces a specific, named risk. None of them substitutes for a dedicated security review when a compliance or incident-response obligation requires one. See what happens during a security incident for the response sequence itself.

Before adding a layer

Questions worth asking first.

  • Which specific risk is this layer meant to reduce, stated in plain language?
  • Who reviews the results-training completion, simulated-phishing outcomes, filtering false positives-and how often?
  • What is the exception process for a role or account that cannot use the standard control?
  • Is this a one-time rollout project, a recurring service, or both?
